iSample - Sampler / Recorder / Looper App Reviews

I love it! This app is just perfect with the new version!!! So much possibilities! Thanks to "Way Out Ware"!

Great concept, nice layout and features, but abysmal reliability (on iPhone 4S) and support renders this app useless. Too bad, but seems that its likely an abandoned project. Would like to see a reliable similar app.

Guys, you have to do something with this app, at least youd better remove phrases about leadership of this up from the apps description - those are misleading. This app CANT even play its native loops well - they go distorted time to time.

Patterns could be much longer if needed. Any way you can record more then put in the song.

I bought this App today, and I love how easy this app is to use! I figured out how to use it fairly quickly! Its very simple, extremely responsive. iSample has EXCELLENT PLAYABILITY. With iSample you can turn any sound into music, or you can sample old songs and mix them all up and create a totally unique new remix, which is my favorite thing about iSample. To top it off you can SAVE your sample banks and LOAD your samples up later! Ive bought many of the samplers in the app store and this is the only one that does exactly what its supposed to do. Most apps in the app store say that they are a sampler, but this is one of the few that actually records your own samples! Great work WAY OUT WARE!

Very quick and fun to use! l love this app! You can sample and loop anything instantly!!

Would be great if version 2 could include some wave editing functionality so I could clip the front and back ends of the sample. Otherwise, great job!! I couldnt ask for more for a buck 99!

This app needs an editor to set start/end points for each loop. Without that its rather useless. And I agree with the other reviewer who said the button/slider concept is awkward. Its a good start, but the app is clearly not finished yet.

The app is good but it would be more useful with some basic sample tracks. This way a user can try the program easily and get familiar with the UI

It crashes with iPod touch!!!! Please fix this. This is the only looping app I can find. Please please make an update. Or I will report you guys

Very good app! Interface works well once you get the hang of it. One thing is I really wish you could touch the pad once and it plays the sample once and stops. I was pretty surprised you cant do that. Definitely need that for live show situations. As it is now to play a sample you either have to hold the pad down or put it on loop. Another wish for future version would be to connect wifi to my computer and load in samples that way. Thanks!

PLEase fix this!!!! update!! I pay and cant use this app !!! The app is god for the price, i have a ipod touch 2g but the buttons "on" dont respond correctly, and i record with my micrphone and play in my headphones but if i unplug the headphones the app is crash and dont respond and dont playing anymore, please help in this problem

This app is overpriced . Get beatmaker. This has no features it should cost 99 cents not 2.99.

Im having so much fun , I sample 2.0 is awesome, I love you can quantise, edit clips, the mixer, the effects on the mixer, killer! File sharing is so easy, the seqencer is really fun, I like to fill it up and randomly delete parts for a funky surprise the preloaded clips are a great start, by devo no less, very well laid out, blast it thru my pro tools system, get it!!!!!

I have a blast playing with the sounds and recording new ones. This app can do a lot and sounds great!

I have downloaded and auditioned almost every music comp app available for iPod touch. This iSampler app has the best features for anyone serious about multi-track recording, editing,mixing, and saving on the ipod and iPhone. Really? I can add effects and edit waveforms on recordings I make with the ipod or import?!! Im creamin! Really! This is a serious and well written tool for any musician or audio engineer. Get it and see for yourself!

I bought this app and thought it was OK but I wasnt thrilled. Then I bought Beatmaker and wish I had just gotten that in the first place.

Blah blah blah three stars.

This would be the ultimate five star sampler IF two additions were made: 1) a function to determine the BPM of the music being heard/recorded by iSample, and 2) the tempo of recorded samples could be adjusted to match the current BPM. Both of these suggestions are available in other apps so it seems like an easy enough request. The sound quality is great, the interface is amazing and there are more functions than I can handle. So far I love it except that beat matching gets tricky without a BMP adjuster.
